Ling Chua, MA, LMFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
Education and Experience: Ling graduated from Antioch University-Seattle in 2008 with a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Languages: English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Fukkien.
Background: A native of the city-state Singapore, Ling came to Seattle in 2005. Prior to joining Therapy Associates, Ling was a youth and family counselor at ACRS. She also worked extensively with families and individuals with co-occurring disorders in Multisystemic Therapy (MST), an evidenced-based program targeted at addressing the needs of juvenile probationers.
Philosophy: Ling’s therapeutic work is grounded on the belief that people experience difficulties when they feel disconnected from their social environment or their past. She uses cognitive-behavioral and narrative approaches with individuals, couples, and families. Ling also uses play therapy in working with children to help them learn problem solving, decision-making, and positive social skills.
