I have more than 24 years of clinical practice in the counseling field. I have truly appreciated the precious privilege of working with individuals, couples and families on the challenges they encounter in their life journeys. When working with clients, I provide a safe, supportive space for them to express their feelings and thoughts.
I use a strengths-based approach to explore, exercise and expand clients’ internal and external resources, to empower them with skills to cope with the challenges they face, and to enrich their lives by facilitating growth and transformation. I am dedicated to providing therapy to clients with compassion, commitment and cultural competency.
I have worked extensively with people experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, acculturation difficulties, parenting issues, relationship problems, phase of life issues, and other challenges. I am also certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy; additionally, I am an API Ethnic Minority Mental Health and Geriatric Mental Health specialist.
