Vivienne Bae, LMHC SUDP EMMHS MHP 

Education and Experience: I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) with master’s of science degree in marriage and family therapy. I worked in the mental health field for more than 10 years and worked as a premarital counselor, a behavior analysis therapist, and a life coach for many more years before that.

Background: I am trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing technique, and marriage and family therapy. I hold a mental health counselor (LMHC) license and a chemical dependency professional (CDP) license. I am recognized by Washington state as an ethnic minority mental health specialist (EMMHS). Besides English, I also speak fluent Korean. I am one of the very few culturally competent mental health therapists with dual licenses (LMHC and CDP) in this field. 

Philosophy: I am passionate about helping individuals and families with issues in all walks of life. I feel privileged to walk alongside individuals, couples, and families in their struggles, and I find joy in their transformations. I believe in each person’s and family’s internal strength in making changes in their own lives. I use a holistic approach in my clinical work and perceive an individual’s issues in bio-psycho-social-spiritual model.
